Seam Welders

Seam Welders are an efficient and consistent method of producing linear welds using processes such as Submerged Arc, MIG, TIG and Plasma welding. Red-D-Arc offers a complete line of Seam Welders, available for sale and lease.

Longitudinal Seam Welders - External, Internal, Flat Plate and Elevating

Seam welders produce a linear weld across a longitudinal seam such as two flat plates or a tubular pipe. Using pneumatically controlled chrome plated copper clamps to hold up to 3/4" thick material, the seam welder firmly clamps the material for precise alignment of the work piece without the need to tack weld. The welding carriage then carries the welding head down the length of the seam; producing a consistent and high quality weld. Water-cooled back-up bars are available with or without gas purge for use in various weld processes such as Submerged Arc, MIG, TIG and Plasma.

Custom Models

Red-D-Arc can manufacture custom models depending on your capacity and functionality requirements; including seam length, diameter ranges, type of material to be welded, minimum and maximum material thicknesses and the type of welding process to be used.

Standard Models

The standard line of Red-D-Arc External Seam Welders are designed to accommodate an effective seam welding length of between 32" to 144".
